Our Comprehensive Return Mail Management service is the most robust solution for handling returned mail after the USPS has attempted delivery. Here’s how the RETURN-MAILExpress process works:
PSC Info Group physically receives the undeliverable mail at a PSC-hosted (client specific) Post Office box. PSC scans the returned mail, captures invalid addresses, and transmits a file back to you for updates in your billing system.

PSC offers three levels of return mail management:

Basic Return Mail: PSC sends a file listing account numbers of mail pieces returned. This file is sent electronically as returns are gathered on a pre-determined time schedule (weekly, daily, etc.).

Return Mail Plus: PSC sends a file listing account number, name, address, and any other information required by the client. This file is sent electronically as returns are gathered on a scheduled basis. The file format is custom developed for each client to ensure ease of use. Return Mail Plus seamlessly integrates with our IDENTITYExpress solution to provide corrected name and address information, SSNs, phone numbers, and DOB information.

Return Mail Plus Update: In addition to providing the same service as Return Mail Plus, PSC will run all returns through ouradvanced address search program prior to sending the file listing back to you.

PSC will also return all “White Mail” to you. White Mail includes mail that was misaddressed by the sender to the return mail address rather than to the proper remittance or reply address. These items are sent to you via next day courier at whatever frequency is desired.
