Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS)
As a standard for every client, our CASS processing system has been integrated into all process flows prior to printing and mailing of a file.  This system is CASS/MASS certified and standardizes all addresses to meet USPS requirements for presorted discounts.  In addition to fixing bad addresses to allow for a higher percentage of successful mail, our CASS system will also provide Delivery Point Validation (DPV) as well as postnet barcode information in order to allow west coast letters to be mailed from our facility in Reno, Nevada. This greatly reduces the amount of time that is needed for mail to leave our facility and arrive at its destination.

Delivery Point Validation
DPV (Delivery Point Validation) is now included as part of NCOALink. DPV allows you to target your mailings more efficiently to reduce postage costs as DPV determines if the address can be confirmed as a valid delivery point to verify that the actual address exists down to an apartment or suite number.

Address Change Service (ACS)
Utilizing this service allows addresses to be checked against the USPS database in the same manner as having “Address Service Requested” listed under the return address.  The difference with this service is that it can be done prior to printing and mailing, thereby reducing the time between submitting an account to be printed and receiving back an updated address, in addition to having that address used for mailing the first time around.  Updates are returned electronically for this service, as opposed to the yellow postcard that would be provided by the USPS for “Address Service Requested.”

Address Element Correction (AEC) with Dual Address Cleansing (DAC)
AEC is a process that formats, validates, and corrects patient addresses. AEC corrects missing or inaccurate Street address components, City and/or State and ZIP Code. DAC performs the following tasks:

  • Format street address to US Postal Service standards
  • Properly parse/separate address components
  • Properly combine address components
  • Properly order address components
  • Correct street directionals (east, west, etc.)
  • Correct street suffixes (street, lane, avenue, etc.)
  • Eliminate extraneous data on address lines
  • Correct misspellings
  • Correct other address components, such as apartment numbers
  • Correct City and/or State
  • Use proper USPS City spellings and State abbreviations
  • Correct ZIP Code and append Zip+4

Locatable Address Conversion Service (LACS) provides mailers an automated method of obtaining a new address when a 911 emergency system has been implemented. 911 address conversions normally involve changing rural-style addresses to city-style addresses, but in some instances conversions may result in the renaming or renumbering of existing city style addresses. United States Postal Service Address Management offices across the country collect and transfer information for this database to the United States Postal Service National Customer Support Center in Memphis, TN.  The LACS service is only available through non-exclusive licensees of the United States Postal Service.

PSC Info Group uses NCOALink Service, licensed by the United States Postal Service, to search all permanent change of address records filed with the USPS® within the last 18 months. When a match is found, permanently changed addresses are corrected and mailed to the updated address. In addition, you will appreciate the cost savings – almost half the cost of the USPS fee.

Upon transmission of your data files, PSC’s address cleansing process will standardize your address files to conform to USPS requirements including the ZIP + 4® Code and automatically correct most addressing errors and omissions.

In addition, you can also send us your entire active address file for batch processing. We will provide you with a proof of accuracy report summarizing the process and the final accuracy of your file.

PSC will then route your files through the NCOALink software and automatically apply the corrected addresses to your mail ensuring timely delivery of your critical documents. PSC will provide you with an electronic file showing all corrected addresses so you can easily update your files.
